Marketing to the 88 Million Black Friday Shoppers...
Sometimes the scariest part of Halloween is that Christmas decorations appear. I’m not ready yet to think about the rush of Christmas, all the shopping to do, baking, cleaning, and the list goes on and on. However, others are more than ready for the holidays. “Those” people have their Christmas list in hand and are ready to pounce on the Black Friday Sales.
The “pouncers” know what goes on sale, what the discounts will be, and have a plan to leverage the shopping opportunity to the max. That led me down the path of what are the Black Friday sale stats. Don’t get me wrong; I was one of those crazy people who started shopping at 11:00 p.m. and continued to shop all through the night. It wasn’t all about the deals but the fun of the hunt and, of course, a great breakfast at the end of my shopping safari and heading off to bed at dawn.
Things changed with the pandemic. There was no more going out all night and shopping until dawn. Black Friday online sales became the norm. What does that mean in dollars? Some interesting stats in 2021 are that 88 million Americans shopped online, and the sales hit $8.9 Billion, with a “B.” Nearly 43% of Black Friday sales happened through mobile phones which is even more astonishing.
Of the 88 million shoppers online, how can the business owner generate more sales and squeeze more out of the Black Friday extravaganza? Fortunately, there is a solution. By knowing who is visiting the company website, the owner can trigger a coupon to those visitors targeting what they have viewed. Talk about an incentive. Another idea is to provide deals all weekend long. Give the consumer an incentive to buy on Cyber Monday and throughout the holiday season.
If you want to see your sales skyrocket through the 4th quarter, reach out to those seeking you. It seems simple enough. And it is.
There is a database tool that provides the information of WHO you are looking for:
Name

Email address
How easy would it be if you knew who was looking at your site and what they were interested in…immediate incentive could be initiated. You are meeting the needs of the consumers, like me, who don’t have their list made, are looking for timely suggestions, or even need a little help with ideas and discounts. Think of the opportunity to upsell your website visitors into that perfect gift.
If Black Friday is a critical day for your business, or you are ready to offer some incentives, learn who is visiting your website and reach out. It’s affordable and ready to go now, like the Christmas decorations!
